Who Should Apply

Sub-window/Interventions: Upgrade of the existing labor force

Requirement for applying    
    
•    The applicant should have required legal documents allowing them to operate in Rwanda
•    The applicant must bring innovative solutions to the raised problem in society/labor market or be a reputable Industry Practitioner in Rwanda 
•    Sufficient training facilities related to the training applied for, with Attachment of a proof of ownership of training facilities and equipment by the institution and training partner if any.
•    The applicant should demonstrate his/her contribution in the training 
•    Attachment of elaborated training program or manual
•    List of the existing labor force.  
•    Uniqueness and Sustainability of the project beyond the phase funded by Skills Development Fund.
•    Any other related application requirements that will be requested in the SDF Grant management system application portal.
•    After training, 100% of the trained employees are retained by the employer for at least a period of one year.    

Eligible Applicants
Registered companies/industries (small and medium-sized) to operate in Rwanda

 


Sub-window/Interventions: Short Term Training for investors

Requirement for applying    
•    The applicant should have required legal documents allowing them to operate in Rwanda
•    The applicant must bring innovative solutions to the raised problem in society/labor market or be a reputable Industry Practitioner in Rwanda 
•    Sufficient training facilities related to the training applied for, with Attachment of a proof of ownership of training facilities and equipment by the institution and training partner if any.
•    The applicant should demonstrate his/her contribution in the training 
•    Attachment of elaborated training program or manual
•    Uniqueness and Sustainability of the project beyond the phase funded by Skills Development Fund.
•    Any other related application requirements that will be requested in the SDF Grant management system application portal.
•    The applicant must employ at least 70% of the graduates at least for a period of one year.

Registered Investors to operate in Rwanda

 


Sub-window/Interventions: Out-of-School Youth    

Requirement for applying
•    The applicant should be an accredited TVET Institution and have required legal documents allowing them to operate in Rwanda.
•    The applicant must bring innovative solutions to the raised problem in society/labor market or be a reputable Industry Practitioner in Rwanda 
•    Sufficient training facilities related to the training applied for, with Attachment of a proof of ownership of training facilities and equipment by the institution and training partner if any.
•    The applicant should demonstrate his/her contribution in the training 
•    Attachment of elaborated training program or manual
•    The applicant should provide an MoU with recognized Companies/Industries to host the trainees for a period of three months
•    Uniqueness and Sustainability of the project beyond the phase funded by Skills Development Fund.
•    Any other related application requirements that will be requested in the SDF Grant management system application portal.

Sub-window/Interventions: Skills Upgrading for Informal Sector    

Requirement for applying
•    The applicant should have required legal documents allowing them to operate in Rwanda
•    The applicant must bring innovative solutions to the raised problem in society/labor market or be a reputable Industry Practitioner in Rwanda 
•    Sufficient training facilities related to the training applied for, with Attachment of a proof of ownership of training facilities and equipment by the institution and training partner if any.
•    The applicant should demonstrate his/her contribution in the training 
•    Attachment of elaborated training program or manual
•    Approved List of active members/beneficiaries of (professional associations, trade unions, federations, cooperatives, NGO, Group of women, craft persons/artisans)
•    Uniqueness and Sustainability of the project beyond the phase funded by Skills Development Fund.
•    Any other related application requirements that will be requested in the SDF Grant management system application portal.

-Trade unions
-Federations
-Cooperatives of craft ’s or artisans/small-scale farmers, and women groups.
-NGO supporting informal sector, associations, cooperatives

 


Sub-window/Interventions: Innovative Training initiatives

Requirement for applying    
•    The applicants should have agreement with international organization/body offering international certificates in ICT
•    The applicant should have required legal documents allowing them to operate in Rwanda
•    The applicant must bring innovative solutions to the raised problem in society/labor market or be a reputable Industry Practitioner in Rwanda 
•    Sufficient training facilities related to the training applied for, with Attachment of a proof of ownership of training facilities and equipment by the institution and training partner if any.
•    The applicant should demonstrate his/her contribution in the training 
•    Attachment of elaborated training program or manual
•    Uniqueness and Sustainability of the project beyond the phase funded by Skills Development Fund.
•    Any other related application requirements that will be requested in the SDF Grant management system application portal.
•    After graduation, the company or industry will employ at least 70% of the graduates at least for a period of one year. Or, the Training Provider should have partnerships with employers where at least 70% of trainees will be linked to employers after graduation. 
•    In case of providing these new skills to your existing workers, the employer should keep them at least for a period of one year after training.
•    In case the applicant will be training workers from other organizations, the applicant will show the partnership agreement with the employer organization to train its workers.
    

Eligible Applicants
Eligible are training institutions such as public or private training institutes, higher education institutes, Private companies with partnerships with internationally accredited organizations offering required skills to Rwandans from different sectors that require digital and professional skills at basic and advanced levels.
Registered companies/industries (small and medium-sized) to operate in Rwanda. These maybe relevant local, regional, or international firms that are accredited to offer professional and internationally recognized ICT-related courses in the form of coding schools or boot camps.


 

About

The most preferable training approach to be used by applying company is Company based training (On job training) and can identify local or international experts/training provider to facilitate the training, but the SDF Secretariat may assist if needed.
